Tip One:
Change your Eating Habits! - This is by far the most difficult one for me. I have switched over to eating as much Organic Fruits and Veggies I can afford to buy locally and inexpensively. I changed from eating meat bought a the local supermarket, and switched to all Grass-Fed Beef or Bison, Cage-Free Chicken and Wild Caught seafood. Eliminate all processed foods, fast food, sodas and fruit drinks containing high fructose corn syrup and unwanted sugars. I also had found out that I am Gluten Sensitive, even though I tested negative for Celiac Disease. I eliminated all gluten containing food from my diet. Remember to read all food labels!!! ( I will post a list of gluten containing foods on my Food Page)
I also found this very informative website by Dr. Mercola which he has a program call Nutritional Typing. He offers a free Nutritional Test, which can help you determine what your nutritional type might be and how to eat best for you! I found out I was a Protein Type, so I have changed my diet to what fits me best as an individual. This quick and informative tool, has greatly impacted my food choices, eating habits and helped me to ease a lot of my Fibromyalgia Pain.
One of the most helpful tip regarding Changing Your Eating Habits, was to bring my lunch with me to work everyday. I know that some of you, and me as well, find this simple process very challenging. The best way I found out, was to do most of the cooking during the weekend, pack up the leftovers for lunches for during the day. I try and keep my lunches simple. I pack nuts, raw cheeses, smoked salmon, salads with homemade salad dressings (see my Food Page for all recipes), gluten crackers, fresh raw veggies and fruits. I stick to either fresh filtered water or iced tea to drink during the day.
I eat a simple breakfast every morning and a lite dinner. I keep desserts to a minimum, and stick only to gluten free or fruit for desserts.
Next I added Nutritional Supplements that you can buy at any health food store or super market. Tip Two will introduce you to my supplements. I keep it simple and easy to follow. No one wants to take a million pills every day.
I hope this first tip will help you and your loved ones. Feel free to post your comments and any suggestions you might have, I look forward to hearing from all my new fans!
Once again, thank you for visiting my Powers for Health Blog.
