 and it will be VEGAN! 

Yep, that’s right….the long awaited Vegan version of Shakeology Tropical Strawberry will be available for purchase on February 14th, 2012.  I can't wait to try it!

No more problems for those of you who want to stay away from any dairy and animal products.  Shakeology’s protein currently comes from Whey protein isolate, which in my opinion is the best whey protein you can possible use.  But some people just don’t want any dairy or animal products what so ever so now there is an option for them!

What is different with the New Tropical Flavor Shakeology will have?  

Beachbody is making the protein from the best sprouted brown rice on the market!

They also said it will be NON-GMO!  Of course it is!  So what about the other flavors?  Well, all other flavors will eventually roll out into Vegan as well, and will be adding a new line of Ultimate Shakeology and Nutritional Products! 


This new nutritional treat is made with natural, tropical fruits like tart camu-camu, luscious papaya, succulent acerola cherry, tangy pineapple and smooth banana.  This will be the HEALTHIEST Shakeology of the three, which is crazy! 


Tropical Shakeology will only have 130 calories (as opposed to 140 for the other 2 flavors; green berry and chocolate.)

Coconut Flower Nectar

Coconut is called the tree of life for a reason. In WWII when they ran out of saline and people were bleeding out, they grabbed a coconut and put it right into the veins. Why? Because it prefectly mimics saline.


No one has really utilized Coconut Flower Nectar. It’s not the water, the oil, or milk. So what is it? There is a flower that grows up and right before it blooms, they cut it off. It is incredible sweet, almost a complete chain of amino acids, electrolytes amongst many other nutritional goodies.

Himalayan Salt

It is over 250,000 years old comes from the Himilayan Mountains. This product has 84 minerals. Salt in this form provides a perfect potassium to sodium ratio. Our typical table salt is stripped from all of it’s natural minerals.  


A question I seem to be getting a lot is regarding the Glycemic Index of Shakeology Tropical. Well…testing is happening now, but Darin Olien believes the testing will come back and show this is significantly lower than the other Shakeology formulas. Given the other flavors are already certified “Low GI”, this is an incredible feat!

Coaches who were at Summit reported online that it tasted kind of like a strawberry/pineapple smoothie. You’ll have to judge for yourself.  

Carl Daikeler, the CEO of Beachbody, said that he hopes everyone will eventually switch to the vegan option since, in his opinion, it will by far be the healthiest.  Interesting…I do know that Co-Creators Darin Olein and Isabelle Daikeler or both vegan so they are obviously trying to make this the healthiest of them all.

They also said that they are taking out the suma root from Tropical so atheletes don’t have to worry about drug testing with it anymore.  Drug tests can determine the difference between a plant sterol and anabolic steroids so obviously this was a concern for athletes.  No more!

Apparently they have worked on the flavor since the coach summit and made it even better.  I can’t wait to try it!  There might even be some cool things for those already on Shakeology Home Direct.
